Race Day Rules
Important instructions every runner must know before, during and after the race.
Before, during & after the race
All Half Marathon and 10 K BIBs must be collected personally at the Faridabad Half Marathon Expo (25–26 September 2026). A representative can collect on your behalf with your Government-issued photo ID and a signed authorisation letter. The timing chip is attached to your BIB — do not tamper with it.
In case you are a winner in any category, you must produce photocopies / scanned copies of a valid Government-issued age proof and photo ID proof for prize disbursement.
Even though you hold a valid running number BIB, you may not be allowed to participate if any Marshal or medical personnel feels you are not fit for the race.
The race venue and route will be heavily marshalled. You are expected to follow their instructions in all eventualities; failing to do so will result in your participation being cancelled. Please note that the Force Majeure clause applies to this event.
Traffic curbs are in place for runner safety. Even so, please stay alert to traffic around you — especially while wearing headphones or earphones. The organisers will not be responsible for any mishap due to negligence in following traffic guidelines.
Only registered participants holding a valid running number BIB will be allowed to enter the event venue and take part in any of the races. Individuals without a valid BIB will not be allowed on the course.
Limited parking is available on race day, allotted on a first-come, first-served basis once you have collected your BIB. It is the responsibility of participants to report at the race venue well before the start of their race.
You are expected to behave in a socially appropriate fashion on race day. Inappropriate behaviour will lead to your registration being cancelled and you being escorted out or handed over to the police, with no refund of registration fees.
A baggage hold facility is available on a best-effort basis. Please deposit only locked / sealed baggage and avoid storing valuables (jewellery, gadgets, etc.). Left luggage must be collected by 10:00 AM — bags left behind after that will be donated to an NGO.
Wear appropriate footwear and clothing suited to running on asphalt roads. Inappropriate footwear or running barefoot can lead to grievous injury.
Timing is available for all Half Marathon, 10 K and special-category (Wheelchair & Amputee) runners. Ensure your timing chip is correctly attached and that you cross every timing mat on the course. Electronic timing may fail in rare cases, and the organisers cannot be held responsible for such events.
Finisher medals will only be awarded to Half Marathon and 10 K participants on successfully completing their designated course.
Goodie bags will be given to all Half Marathon and 10 K participants at the Faridabad Half Marathon Expo on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early and collect early to secure your preferred T-shirt size.
All participants will be issued a certificate online only. Certificates will be available 24 hours after event completion.
Information and updates will be emailed only. Provide your email accurately. If you do not receive a form-submission acknowledgement within 72 hours, call the event helpline to verify your details.
Timing, cut-offs & prize eligibility
Race results announced on race day will be 'provisional'. Final results and entitlement to prize money shall be subject to the rules mentioned herein and the Race Regulations.
All runners must start their race from the designated start line, at the official start time of the respective race category on the race day; starting your race at any other start time/place will lead to disqualification.
Only confirmed runners falling within the specified age groups, and starting their race accordingly, will be entitled to be considered for prize money in the respective race category.
Finish positions of Half Marathon and 10 KM runners falling within the age groups will be based on net finish times only.
Runners must cross the start line within 30 minutes of the official start time of their respective race category to be eligible for timings, rankings and prize money (where applicable).
The cut-off finish time for prize money and for the Finisher's Medal is 3 hours for the Half Marathon and 1.5 hours for the 10 KM, from start time.
Timings will be displayed BIB number-wise for podium finishers after 20 minutes of each race category's cut-off time.
Entitlement to finish positions and prize money is subject to: 1) Bib-tag timing captured across all timing points including the start and finish mats, and 2) physical verification by technical officials and anti-cheat cameras.
BIBs are non-transferable.
Prize winners may be required to submit further proof of identity/age as required by the Event Organiser for disbursement of prize money.
Prize Money is subject to applicable Indian Income Tax Rules, and the same would be borne by the winner.
